 Syri vi Ezerrye becomes the 9th General Director Eix Easway - The shock resignation of  Metallityƶt from all offices, including the General Directorate, on 8 April 2024 caused a vacuum of power in the position of chief of government, leading to the Excellent Syri Meizcherni Moughamadan vi Ezerrye, 2nd Marquis of Pomoresia, to be unanimously elected by the 10th Assembly to serve as the 9th General Director of Easway on Sunday, 14 April. This election comes exactly one year after Syri was last elected into the office. The National Electoral Commission of Easway - Explained

 The National Electoral Commission - Explained The National Electoral Commission (NEC) is the supreme auditing and regulatory body of the Common Union of Easway, responsible for ensuring the democratic rights of all Easwegians and the correct functioning of the Co-operative Government's branches, according to law. The body is outlined in Chapter 2, Section 18, of the Constitution of Easway.  The NEC is led by a Spokesperson, who is accompanied by a directorial board. This board aims to employ people from all of Easway's different municipalities, in order to help ensure the protection of Easway's polycultural status, and to prevent an echo chamber of views within the organisation. The NEC itself operates in a non-partisan manner and is made up of independent persons, who are not affiliated to the Government.  The National Electoral Commission has gotten more powerful in the years since 2022 onwards.
