EASWAY MOVES TO INCORPORATE THE DISPLACED EASWEGIAN TERRITORIES

In an announcement forwarded by the Suqeruli Bai administration to the United Common Assembly, President Swapardeshi delivered a speech dubbed 'Operation Common Order' announcing plans to hold an Assembly vote on whether to incorporate the Displaced Territories, historical Easwegian lands which constitute most of what is internationally recognised as northern Russia and a small strip of Northeastern Norway. It is announced that this shall rename the Common Union officially from Bear Island and the Pomors Frontier to the Common Union of Easway on Biarmia and the Svalbard Isles.

Monday (Boriopa City, Easway) - The 10th United Common Assembly gathered today to hear a state of the nation address by President Swapardeshi, who made Easwegian history last year when she became the first female legislative speaker. Within it was the declared plans to incorporate - or lay claim to - what the Easwegian government considers historical Easwegian lands: namely Biarmia or Mainland Boriopa, an area which stretches from the Varanger peninsula to the Ural mountain, encompassing much of the European arctic. Included in these claims are Murmansk, northern Arkhangelsk (leaving Russia with the White Sea coast west of the Onega river), Nenetsia and portions of the Komi Republic north of the river Usa (including the town of Vorkuta).

Within the speech President Swapardeshi stated:
My fellow Easwegian brothers and sisters,

As the President of the Assembly, it is my pleasure to introduce the Co-operative Government's official map plans for a unified Easway. We are ready to set our mission for a unified home, as the:

'Common Union of Easway on Biarmia and the Svalbard Isles'

Debates should begin between assembly members on the merits of our planned claims on Biarmia, also known as Mainland Boriopa.
President Swapardeshi

Behind the scenes, these plans have been worked on privately by the Co-operative Government under newly elected Grand Councillor Suqeruli Bai, who posted a map of portions of a 'Unified Easway', an Easwegianist irredentist philosophy, as part of his leadership campaign last November. It is understood that the federal cultural and educational director Devaade Raizerni recommended the plans following the elections. He is supported by the Easway First president and General Director Metallityöt Alaghbalous, who is concurrently serving as foreign minister as part of his portfolio. His party stated today 'Easway stands!'These developments explain why  the Common Security Forces under Don Cho increased security broadly for Assembly members yesterday, as we reported.

Grand Councillor Squ Bai
These developments mark a significant turn in policy to Squ Bai's predecessor Emizerri. Although many observers are saying it is to be expected. Originally Boriopa City holding positive relations with Moscow in 2017-2020, relations had been waning since the 2020 Russian referendum, which it is noted Nenetsia which Easway seeks to incorporate was the only region of Russia to vote against it. After the Russian invasion of Ukraine, relations further broke down to an almost non-existent level. Whilst Easway opposes the current direction of the Kremlin, the Co-operative Government told us that 'our government and the world must look at the bigger picture and the future after this brutal war. We do not hold hate in our heart, we must only do what is right, both for ourselves and for the oppressed.'

Paramount Founder and current Grand Marshal Emizerri has been reached out to comment on these events, although his office stated he had too little time for an in-person interview.

It is unlikely any incorporation will happen soon, as the micronation would be outmatched by the significantly larger Russian Federation, although under any circumstance, if the vote passes, foreign policy will be forever changed within Easway.
