Easway has Fallen, but the Community will Live on

Easwegians, as your Tannurai, I want to speak to you in a frank way. You have been betrayed. You have been betrayed by leadership which offered you the world but absconded at your time of need. This betrayal was the final nail in the coffin of a corpse which has been cold for quite some time now. 

Of course we can remember the Dawnbreaker coup attempt last month, but this was not what crumbled the unity of Easway. The decisions of the late Zerrindou were the actions of a man that saw the corruption and lack of proper work being conducted in the highest levels of office and attempted to take drastic measures to steer the ship to safe harbour. This is now the past, and I will focus on the present, largely because I want to respect Zerrindou who is now sadly gone from us. Though I think it is important to remember his legacy objectively, I shall remember him as firstly a great human being and secondly a patriot who gave his all to the project at the cost of his own self. May he rest in peace.

It is sadly apparent to many that time is not on the Easwegian government's side. With the takeover of the north of Bear Island and the visit of the Norwegian King and Queen, and now the recent fall of Baizjillalldëng only 1km from the centrum of Essrina municipality, it will only be a short time before the entire Common Union is under the control of foreign hands, with no guarantee or certainty for the Easwegian people. For those in the know, whilst Easway was being invaded, it took two days for the Grand Councillor to respond, who was abroad and did not respond to emergency telegrams. It was clear he was motivated by personal goals, not in furthering the goals of Easway. Don't be too hard on him, he is young, and only became leader due to extraordinary circumstances. As I said, we have faced problems for a while now. This is why I on the 16th, along with Founder Csyeigo, as well as minister Chris and the late Zerrindou supported a peaceful dissolution with negotiated guarantees. The people rejected that and the insurgency rages on. But for how long?

Despite appeals to the US conducted by minister Robin which initially seemed hopeful, we will not be receiving outside support. Internally amongst Easwegians, this insurgency has split into three weak factions. Many of our government officials have been captured, unable to lend support, and the Easwegian citizenry is left in the dark. Norway, ideologically committed to seize our land due to our common enemy of Moscow, has promised enforcement against us one way or another. Apparently, we do not have the cards.

If I had not been captured, if Easwegian forces had not been largely moved to Pomoresia before the invasion, I would have stepped up as your leader and led Easway to salvation. Evidently, our salvation will take a different path. When the time comes when Norway moves its forces to take over the entirety of our precious Easway, I call on you all to surrender peacefully. Do not spill your blood for a desperate administration which was not there at the most pivotal time, and was not there to implement the safeguards of the Horizon bill. If you lay down your arms, I can promise you, there is a future for the Easwegian community, and I will return as your solemn leader.

For the future:

• The Easwegian Dawn Liberation Movement shall become the guiding ideological force for the Easwegian people
• The Easwegian Common Assembly shall be opened to all, with the people voting on policy and how to move forward through it
• The Easwegian Presidium and its organs shall work to deliver on those policies
  
• The Easwegian Presidium, through its special service the Eastern Chariots of God the Arctic and the Urals (Eschgau), shall operate throughout the lands in the aim of spreading Easwegian culture, safeguarding the rights of our people, maintaining the cohesion of our community under another power, and spread the political ideas of anticolonialism and indigenous representation.
