Directive VI - 2026

 Directive VI - 2026
Qileziaux VI - 2026

Foreword from Emizerri Tannurai

Since the annus horribilis of 2025, the Easwegian movement has spent a year rebuilding ourselves from the ruins of the Common Realm. The collapse of the Common Realm on July 1st 2025, given the name of the Day of Reflection, has resonated in the hearts and souls of every Easwegian to this day, giving many both a battle-hardened psyche but also a new sense of purpose. The people, guided by the determination and paternalistic attitude of Easwegian Dawn, were not left behind. Instead, we have gathered our thoughts, consecrated the traditions laid down by the legacy of the Common Realm, and today march forward.

On this sacred day of Origin Day, commemorating eleven years since the founding of the community - first as Ezerrye - a directive is hereby laid down as follows. I can think of no better title than simply that of this year, the annus mirabilis - 2026.

Article I - Ezerryen as the national language

Ezerryen - a language built from Turkic, Uralic, and Indo-European roots - standardised in 2019 after the efforts of Emizerri Tannurai, was central to the founding of Easway and the legitimacy of the Provisional Government. Its written language starting with the vowel heavy word Emando - defence - expanded into a comprehensive language. It brought many linguists into the fold, such as Csyeigo and Devaade Raizerni, who would later become fierce Easwegian patriots in other avenues too.

Before the introduction of this directive, Ezerryen Easwegian as its official name stands, was given the status of official language. This definition shall be expanded. Ezerryen Easwegian is hereby declared the national language of Easwegians. While the Ezerryen language evolved from the Ezaari tradition and who shall remain the language's first custodians, Ezerryen shall be revived once again, embraced by Easwegians of all ethnic backgrounds, and upheld in a sacred light. English shall continue to serve as the common language of Easwegians. Norwegian and Pomors shall continue to be official languages.
Following this directive, Saami and Nenets shall be classified as protected indigenous languages of Boriopa, with their survival and cultural practice within Easway guaranteed by the Easwegian council.

Ezerrye lei reun!

Article II - Tannurai

The name Tannurai and its variants, has been carried by Emizerri since 2015 when he founded the forerunner of the Easwegian Common Assembly, the Cyber Circle. First termed as Director by his comrades, among other names following the creation of Easway in 2017, the settled name across all languages since 2024 has stood as Tannurai, meaning heavenly chief, or more poetically mandate of heaven.

But Emizerri does not stand as the only person to have held this mandate. After extensive research which began in July 2025 and fully completed following the re-establishment of the House of Zerri, the record today is made clear.
Before outlining the list of Tannurai, which begins with Martha of Boriopa in 1471, it is important to explain that the Tannurai is not a governing position or a title in the ordinary sense, but a rank bestowed to one person per lifetime when they have achieved a great feat. For Martha of Boriopa, it was becoming the Mayoress of Novgorod and mobilising her resources and great land-holdings to mount a struggle in service of the Novgorod people and its culture as well as serving as the forerunner of the Easwegian people. For others, it was more poetic, with these men and women chosen for their dedication to the causes which encompassed the official Easwegian heritage.

When Easwegian Dawn began this task last year, it was a monumental feat to search through the records. Only three things were initially certain, that Emizerri was preceded by Kseniya Gemp, that Martha of Boriopa was the first Tannurai, and that Willem Barents had been Tannurai following his second voyage to the north. The rest was meticulously researched and pieced together based on these facts.

Formally established on 24 November 2017, its first meeting being held in the home of Oelaani Creizoun, it has continuously represented the united interests of our project. Nevertheless, we do not hold a monopoly on Easwegian expression.
