EASWAY MOVES TO INCORPORATE THE DISPLACED EASWEGIAN TERRITORIES In an announcement forwarded by the Suqeruli Bai administration to the United Common Assembly, President Swapardeshi delivered a speech dubbed 'Operation Common Order' announcing plans to hold an Assembly vote on whether to incorporate the Displaced Territories, historical Easwegian lands which constitute most of what is internationally recognised as northern Russia and a small strip of Northeastern Norway. It is announced that this shall rename the Common Union officially from Bear Island and the Pomors Frontier to the Common Union of Easway on Biarmia and the Svalbard Isles.  Appointment of the 5th Grand Paladin of the Common Security Force At the behest of Grand Councillor Suqeruli Bai, the honourable federal director Don Cho shall, from this date henceforth, be appointed as the head of the Common Security Force, Easway's intelligence service. Through this appointment, Don Cho shall now head the external and internal state security defence of the Common Union, as per the rules of the constitution and commitment to the Easwegian people.  Former Grand Paladin Gaia Grìbhinneach stands in full support of this decision, and they shall continue to serve in their duties as minister of home affairs and Alderman of Bear Island. I thank Gaia for their service over the past two years as Grand Paladin. Grand Marshal Emizerri's comments: Eix Easway - 31 December 2023 Emizerri wished Easway a happy new year, although looked noticeably gloom in his outlook for 2024.   The Foreign Ministry establishes the Easwegian Association of Gökçeada  Authored by Grand Councillor Suqeruli Bai, Başkuruli Bey Today, the Co-operative Government of Easway establishes the Easwegian Association of  Gökçeada   to  represent as the central ancestral hub Easwegians within Easwegian Turkey. The island within the west of Turkey, known as Qaiversou in Ezerryen, was a place of trade and settlement within the far-western reach of the Easwegian Continuum in the early first millenium. Election results: the 10th Assembly Government - Easway has a new leader The 10th Assembly Government has formed today following elections this month. Grand Councillor Suqeruli Bai is expected to make a speech to the Union.  The National Directorate was also elected with Metallityöt to lead it as General Director, and Swapardeshi becomes the first female President of the United Common Assembly. Emizerri has been elected to serve as Grand Marshal. Suqeruli Bai - The second-ever Grand Councillor-elect Suqeruli Bai, commonly going by Squ Bai, an independent, won the election on Saturday 11th with  140 (70%) of the vote, comfortably defeating Don Cho. Squ Bai began his career as a member of the Provisional Government in 2018. From there, he took part in the ratification of the 2020 Directorial Federation Constitution. November 2023 Grand Councillor election: Suqeruli Bai wins a comfortable majority - set to become the second-ever chief of state With 140 votes and 60% of the vote, Marquis of Maritime Hopen Suqeruli Bai defeated Don Cho on Saturday 11th and is set to succeed Emizerri as the second-ever Grand Councillor on 25 November Suqeruli Bai, commonly referred to as Squ Bai, an independent candidate who has served as the first Marquis of Maritime Hopen since 2020, was elected on Saturday with a comfortable 60% majority. Squ Bai, 24, running on a platform of building new infrastructure and a cultural renaissance, thanked the people for electing him and for their determination in building Easway since its founding in 2017. Don Cho, who exceeded expectations and landed a respectable 30% against the Emizerri-endorsed founder, conceded defeat and congratulated Squ Bai.  NOVEMBER 2021 MARQUIS OF ESSRINA ELECTION RESULTS 30 November 2021 - Hellmut, leader of the Homonationalist Party of Easway gains a plurality of votes and soars to victory.  In a surprisingly close vote, Hellmut with 90 votes (42.9%) has gained a plurality of votes, becoming the new Marquis of Essrina. Entering the federal council, this boosts the HPE's prominence further and that of its energetic leader. Both Don and Swapardeshi have conceded victory, with Swapardeshi congratulating the winning opponent and stating " It was an interesting election. The government may change, but the nation of Easway is eternal."
